Yellow dextrin

Description:
Yellow dextrin is a group of low molecular weight carbohydrates produced by acid-thermal decomposition of starch. Yellow dextrin is soluble in water which makes it very easy to transform it into liquid solution again and it also have sticky properties.



Organoleptic properties:
Yellow powder, characteristically smell and sweet taste.


Application:
Food application: Yellow dextrin is used for meat products because it has excellent adhesion and better coloring of battered and fried product. It can be used in confectionery as thickening agents and do not interfere in the taste of final product. It is used for dairy products as thickening agents and also can be use in pharmaceuticals and act as binding agent. Technical application: Yellow dextrin is used for making molds, glass fibers, and in the briquetting process. Application is in the adhesives industry, paper industry for the production of adhesive tapes, paper bags and card board boxes. It is used for the flotation of copper, in a process without NaOH. It is used for flocculation in the process of manufacture aluminum and the oil wells as an additive in the sludge.
